Alumni College: Behaving Yourself 100, Psychology 105
Understand how behaviorism arose, flourished, and still has an influence as we struggle to understand ourselves. Reedie work with pigeons, rats, elephants, and non-clerical primates will be included.

Alumni College: Arts 100: Experiencing Lloyd Reynolds, Vollum lecture hall with simulcast in Vollum lounge
Professor Reynolds’ calligraphy courses influenced how the Reed community communicates to this day, his art history courses were always oversubscribed, and his English literature courses were renowned. This half-day program will feature lectures, a demonstration of calligraphy, videos of Reynolds, and remembrances from his students.

Alumni College: Social Justice 100, chapel
Panel discussion with Sunny Daly ’03 and others TBA, moderated by A’Nova Ettien ’01.
Although “Communism, Atheism, Free Love” makes a great sound bite, Reedies have always considered social justice as the grounding of any sloganeering. Moreover, they’ve walked the walk as well as talking the talk. Here, we provide a panel discussion that looks back on Reedie social activism over the past half century and looks forward to where we should be going.

Reedies Dance: Technique workshop and dance conspiracy, upper gym, gym 2
Carla Mann ’81, professor of dance, will lead a movement class and creative exercise resulting in a plot to unleash dance upon the campus when it is least expected! All ages and experience levels welcome.

Reedies Dance: Ice cream social returns, upper gym, gym 2
Alumni and faculty instructors lead participants in a variety of movement styles (although sitting and watching OK too!) followed by a sharing of dance works in progress and ice cream sundaes! All ages and experience levels welcome.
3:30-5 p.m.
Reedies Dance: Open jam session 4, Gym 2
Musicians and choreographers, and the just plain curious join dancers after the ice cream social to continue to explore movement! Improvisation (including Contact Improv) will be the theme, but all creative collaborations will be encouraged, and choreographers can work with dancers to set pieces for presentation the next day or across campus (studio available if needed). Enjoy music, movement, and (gentle) mayhem merging, dispersing, and reforming as participants come and go. (Recorded music will also be available.)
1-4 p.m.
Alumni College: Social and Behavioral Sciences 100: Experiencing the World outside of Reed, Vollum lecture hall and Vollum 110, 116, 118, and 120
For this half-day program, faculty and alumni experts from diverse disciplines within the broadly defined social sciences will make presentations showing how their area of knowledge can help us understand and manage contemporary social issues. Speakers will be
Jim Kahan ’64 on “Agreement and Understanding: Insights for Policy Decision Making from Psychiatry”; Kim Clausing, Thormund A. Miller & Walter Mitz Professor of Economic History & Humanities, on something having to do with taxation; Don Green ’54 on a case study showing how economic models underlie effective community organizing; and
Craig Mosbaek ’83 on the policy/political context of public health issues.

Alumni College: Greek Theatre 100, chapel
Wally Englert, Omar & Althea Hoskins Professor of Classical Studies & Humanities, will reprise his Humanities 110 lecture on the Greeks. Come prepared to join in the chorus.
2:30-4 p.m.
All-class wine tasting and receptions honoring retiring professors Ed Segel, professor of history & humanities, and Peter Russell, professor of biology, tent between Anna Mann and Kaul Auditorium
Attend the sixth-annual tasting, featuring the Pacific Northwest alumni wineries of TBA and toast Professors Segel and Russell’s combined 77 years of teaching, tent between Anna Mann and Kaul Auditorium.,

Alumni College: History of the Hum Play 100, Theatre
This session focuses on the evolution of the Hum play, a relatively new campus tradition, started in 1994 by Greg Lam ’96, as a parody of the Reed experience. The Hum play has since become a central part of the student calendar. Folk and tango dancing, student union
Alex Krebs ’99 and his band Tango Berretín play a blend of songs from Argentina and beyond that stirs the feet as well as the soul. Jim Kahan ’64, aka “Mr. Folk Dance”, will be the MC for the evening.
