What is Reunions all about?
Reunions is the largest alumni event held by Reed each
year. Reunions are about reconnecting with old friends
and making new friends. About 1,500 alumni, partners,
friends, and children are expected to attend, May 30–June 3, 2012.

What if it is not my milestone reunion year?
All alumni are encouraged to attend, since this is the conclusion to a once-in-a-century celebration of Reed's 100th year!

When/how do I register?
Register online by May 29,
2012. The
prompt submission of your registration materials will
ensure that you receive housing in the dormitories and
reserved spaces at meals and other events. Full
payment is necessary to guarantee your reservation.
Please spread the word out that registering early is important, so that we can do our best to plan the many Reunions activities. When it comes to preparing food, lodging, and events, having an accurate estimate is invaluable. To that end, it helps us immensely when you make a good faith effort to RSVP and pay the requested fees.
If you haven't registered by the time that you arrive on campus, please pay for your events ahead of time in Reunions Central in Eliot 207. These fees help cover the costs of food, beverages, alcohol, cleaning, set-up, student workers, and entertainment. If you have not pre-registered for the day, but show up on that day, we will need to send you to Reunions Central to register and pay before being allowed to attend. During busy times--especially Friday and Saturday before dinner--you may have to stand in line and wait to register. Please have patience with the good people putting on this party; may the Honor Principle flourish!

When/where should I plan to arrive on campus?
Your first stop should be Reunions Central in Eliot 207 (please check in even if you are not staying
on campus). Upon arrival, alumni will
receive a nametag, map,
a final schedule, and other late-breaking information.
If you are staying in the dormitories,
you will also receive your room key and housing assignment. Please note that dorm rooms
will not be available for check in before noon on
Wednesday, May 30.
Alumni arriving after hours will need to go to the Community Safety switchboard in the 28 West building at 5436 SE 28th Avenue; you'll be let into your room, then you may pick up your key at Reunions Central in the morning. Reunions Central hours will be Wednesday, noon–midnight, Thursday–Saturday, 8 a.m.–midnight, and Sunday, 8 a.m.–1 p.m. Check-out time for the dorms is by 1 p.m. on Sunday.
If you are arriving by taxi while Reunions Central is
open, enter at the main campus entrance on Woodstock
Boulevard to be dropped off at Eliot Circle. If you are arriving

Who else is coming?
To find out who has already signed up check out the "Who’s
Coming" list (please note
that it may take a full business day for your name to
appear after you complete online registration). Even
if you think that nobody you know will be in attendance,
you are bound to make new friends and have a great time!

Where will I stay?
Relive your student experience by staying
in the dorms.
It is not Club Med, but the price is right: $25 per bed if you register before March 1! See our accommodations page to learn more about the cost after that date. Each room includes a single bed and linens (alumni will need to make up their own beds with linens provided), access
to mixed-gender communal bathrooms.
Please note that the dorms are not luxury hotels
and most lack soundproofing and air conditioning; they
are not equipped with amenities such as fans, ironing
boards, alarm clocks, or toiletries. You may wish
to bring a washcloth, extra towels, a small fan,
or extra blanket. We make every effort to place alumni
from the same decade in the same dorm, but encourage
you to register early for best results. If you prefer
to stay off campus, a list of area lodging can be
found here. Book early, as the Rose Festival coincides with Reunions and hotel rooms go quickly.

Camera, scrapbooks, memorabilia, music, and anything
else that will make the weekend enjoyable. If you're
staying on campus, you may wish to bring a small
reading lamp, alarm clock, small fan, and extra blanket

so please pack accordingly. The sports center will

glove/Frisbee, etc.
Will there be Internet access?
There will be computers available for your use in central
locations around campus, including a "cyber cafe" in Gray Campus Center, room A. No password is necessary for these computers. Printing is available for boarding passes, maps, and other essential travel documents. Please limit your printing to five pages or less and remember to log out when you're finished.
You may also use desktop computers
in the IRCs on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (please note that these computers require your Kerberos credentials to log in, i.e., the same username/password that you use to access the alumni directory in IRIS). Staff will be available at the CUS help desk during business hours if you need assistance.
Alumni with laptops may
connect
to Reed's free high-speed wireless network (this level
of access will allow for general web surfing and
use of web-hosted email) by logging in with your IRIS username/password. If you don't have your IRIS account set up, you may want to do so in advance (drop a note to alumni@reed.edu if you need your Reed ID). Alternately, while on campus you can join the network as a guest (login instructions will be included in the schedule that you receive when you check in).
